Class Descriptions
Salsa/Mambo Classes:
- Level 1 - For beginners. Learn the basics
of mambo/salsa dance musicality, partner work, turning
technique, and shines (open footwork).
- Level 2 - For those who have completed one
cycle of Level 1 class. Learn higher level partner work,
turning technique, musicality, intermediate-level shines
(open footwork), while developing leading and following
skills in partner work. Begin to learn Afro-Cuban body
movement, Latin-funk and isolations.
- Level 3 - ready for a challenge...if you
are a quick learner or have a firm understanding of mambo
fundamentals and desire more challenging material, this
class might be the class for you.
- Open Workshops - appropriate for
all levels. We offer open Workshops monthly for students who
wish to develop more advanced and diverse dance skills. We
focus on ladies styling, men’s
styling, and Afro-Cuban body movement, isolations, Flamenco
dance and more. These workshops will be given by world class
guest instructors from New York,
other part of U.S.
and occasionally from Europe.
